Tec-Kote™ 1010 is a next-generation solvent-based finish coating engineered to replace traditional low-friction coatings that are becoming less available and no longer meet evolving PFAS regulatory requirements. Combining high durability, low coefficient of friction, and excellent chemical resistance., Tec-Kote™ 1010 provides a reliable solution for industrial, automotive, and medical-related applications.

Tec-Kote™ 1010 is a solvent-based finish coating that can be applied by spray, roll coat, dip-spin, or dip-drain processes. Once cured, it forms a durable coating that adheres to most metals while providing low friction, high durability, excellent adhesion, low particle generation, and strong heat and solvent resistance.

Developed to address increasing industry demand for PFAS-compliant alternatives, Tec-Kote™ 1010 complies with the EU Commission Delegated Regulation of PFOA and EU Regulations 2020/784 and 2021/1297 onC9-C14. It is also designated as PFAS/PFOA Regulatory Compliant (RC).

For customers requiring coated components rather than coating materials, Tectorius also offers application services for low-volume and specialized parts using its dip-spin process.

Low Friction Across a Wide Operating Range: With a static coefficient of friction of 0.15–0.35 (ASTM D1894) and a service range from -100°F to 500°F, Tec-Kote™ 1010 maintains consistent performance in thermally and mechanically demanding environments.

High Durability and Wear Resistance: Shore D hardness of 60–90, Tabor abrasion resistance greater than 15 mg loss, and an impact strength of 13 ft-lb/in make Tec-Kote™ 1010 suitable for components subject to repeated mechanical stress and surface contact.

Broad Chemical and Solvent Resistance: Tec-Kote™ 1010is rated for excellent chemical resistance, protecting coated surfaces from exposure to industrial solvents, process fluids, and corrosive environments.

Application Services Available: For customers requiring direct part coating, Tectorius offers dip-spin application services for low-volume and specialized parts, providing a consistent, process-controlled alternative to in-house coating operations.
